Rediscover Your Town’s Heritage
The Brecksville Historical Association has a limited amount of the book “Images of America- Brecksville”. The book, done in collaboration with David Borsvold and Arcadia Publishing, is 128 pages in paperback featuring over 200 black and white photographs. The Association has dedicated the book to Elizabeth “Betty” Hoffman. Betty was always into history and her family recognized that by directing memorial donations in Betty's name to the Historical Association so that some of her work would be published. Prior to her death in 1995 Betty compiled an album of Century Homes in Brecksville and the last chapter of this book features some of the homes she had researched. A delightful edition, it covers the early years of Brecksville and some newer history through 2003.
The book is $20 and available at the Association’s Archives at Blossom Hill on Wednesdays between 11-3 or the Squire Rich Museum on Sundays from 2-5 p.m. and The Brecksville Department of Human Services. If you would like to have it mailed to you please send a check for $20 plus $3 postage to Brecksville Historical Association, P.O. Box 41403, Brecksville, OH 44141. Profits from the sale of this book will go towards funding the ongoing restoration work being done at the Squire Rich Museum in coordination with the Cleveland Metroparks and City of Brecksville. For additional information contact the Association at
