On Friday night of Brecksville Home Days, June 29 at 6:00 pm, the Ohio Flags of Honor will come to Brecksville.

750 American flags will fly during Home Days weekend on the front lawn of Central School on Rt.  82 on Brecksville’s square.

297 of the flags will bear the names of the men and women from Ohio who died in Iraq and Afghanistan, serving our country.

Your help is needed to make this major event a reality.

For example, the flags are guarded from the moment they are posted until the closing ceremony on Sunday, July 1 at 2 pm. Guards are needed for two hour shifts. The stanchions that hold the flags must be set up on Friday morning, June 29 and taken down on Sunday. Chairs and tables need to be set up and taken down. Please call the Brecksville Department of Human Services to “enlist.” The number is 440-526-2499.
