In the fall of 2008, we made some more improvements to the Kid’s Garden at the Community Center.  If you have not been able to stop by, I would highly recommend you take a look.  The wood around the raised beds was replaced and have been revamped with new topsoil and new plants. 

In keeping with the educational aspect of the garden for the children, I will be offering lessons to the kids in conjunction with the Brecksville summer camp.  The artwork on the outside of the fence will be replaced for next year, and the new creative garden creatures will be “imagined” by this years summer camp participants.
There are still a lot of parents and children that visit Kid’s Quarters that do not realize that there is a Kid’s Garden. 
I have had a lot of people ask me if they were allowed inside!  So please go inside, wander around and never miss an opportunity to teach your children.  You will find a mailbox at the entrance that will have more information on specific plants every month.   If you have any suggestions for the Kids Garden in the future, I would love to hear from you!  Just send me an email.
