Procedures for Attendance at
Planning Commission Meetings

2010 Calendar

1. The Planning Commission can recommend the approval of a proposal only at a Regular Meeting.  The Planning Commission's recommendations are forwarded to City Council for approval.
   
2. The Planning Commission holds a Work Session for new projects on the same evening as the Regular Meeting.
   
3. The Planning Commission reviews sign applications at their Regular Meetings.
   The last date plans can be considered for the placement on the next agenda is Monday at noon, 10 days before a Planning Commission Meeting.  The items will be placed on the next or following agenda if:
   1. The plans are complete.
   2. If there has been sufficient time to review the application at least 6 days prior to the Planning Commission meeting.
   3. The Planning Commission meeting agenda can accommodate the item.

The Planning Commission holds a Work Session for new projects on the same evening as the Regular Meeting. Recommendations are
forwarded to City Council for approval.

• Signs are reviewed at Regular Meetings - $25.00
Review Fee required for each sign.

Note:
PLANS must be submitted at least 17 DAYS PRIOR
TO THE MEETING.
Items will be placed on a meeting agenda if:
• Plans are complete.
• Plans have been reviewed by the Planning & Zoning
Coordinator 10 days prior to the Planning Commission Meeting.
• The Planning Commission Agenda can accommodate the item.
Note: Proposals and plans are reviewed on a first come first-serve basis. The applicant will be notified, by mailed agenda, of the Planning Commission Meeting date their project will be heard
by the Planning Commission.

The following information is required:
• Submit 12 complete and folded packets.
• Completed Planning Commission Action Request or Sign Permit Application.
• Commission and Engineering Review Fees are required at the time of submittal. Two separate checks payable to the City of Brecksville are required at the time of submittal.
• PC APPLICATION FEE: $25.00.
• PROFESSIONAL REVIEW FEES:
• Residential - $500.00
• Commercial - $2,000.00
